The Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality is one of the key strongholds of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. It is a fertile ground where the people are totally in support of Governor Wike for his outstanding contributions to the development of the area.

I write this response to my big Oga Ogbonna Nwuke, and to my main man Senibo Chris Finebone, who in their separate press releases earlier today in reaction to the well reasoned landmark Supreme Court judgement sacking Pastor Tonye Dele Cole, stated that the verdict of the apex court didn't affect the purported candidature of Tonye Cole and others on the ground that the court is still seized of “a substantive appeal” bordering on jurisdiction of the State High Court and whether the case of Ibrahim and orders is a pre-election matter or not.

Choosing Peter Obi as the Vice Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, was a great delight to Nigerians all over the world. He had indeed been tested and trusted in the area of governance with particular reference to saving a sinking economy and fighting corruption while as governor of Anambra State. Atiku Abubakar couldn't have asked for a better partner, having been in those shoes before. Peter Gregory Obi Obi, as governor of Anambra State simply came in and turned the state around by literally pulling her out of the debris of stagnation to economic recovery, growth, sustainability and safety. Indeed, people have short memories but it can only be fair to cast our minds back to what Anambra state was like before Obi came on board. This piece will serve as a reminder, not just to Anambrarians, but to all Nigerians across the globe reading this.
Good afternoon Gentlemen of the Press.
It is with profound pleasure that I welcome you all to this epoch making event being my Maiden Press Briefing/Chat with all the Journalists in the State.
Nigerians have witnessed again the targeted assault of the judiciary by agents of the Federal Government of Nigeria (“FGN”) epitomized by today's media trial of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honorable Mr. Justice Walter S N Onnoghen, GCON (“CJN”). According to media reports which have now been validated by the Statement of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (“CCT”) that was released today an application was “filed by the Code of Conduct Bureau to the CCT Chairman yesterday for the trial to commence against the Chief Justice of Nigeria on six count charges” and that the CCT “will commence the trial on Monday, 14th January 2019”.
