The Executive Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Barr. Philip Okparaji says he will continue to bring the dividends of democracy to the Eleme people.

He said his administration has achieved huge successes on security saying most of the criminal elements that made life uncomfortable for the residents of the LGA before his assumption of office were neutralized, while some were chased away, which has brought a lot of peace and stability to the communities in the LGA.
Hon. Okparaji said his administration was able to achieve that by involving all stakeholders in finding lasting solutions to the security challenges bedevilling the LGA in concert with the hardwork of the security agencies.
He added that Eleme LGA is no safe haven for cultists, kidnappers, armed robbers and other perpetrators of ungodly acts, warning criminal elements to steer clear of the LGA. He assured the residents that relative peace in the LGA will never be compromised for anything, because peace is the bedrock of development.
The Executive Chairman, however, implored residents of Eleme LGA to adhere to the directives of the Rivers State COVID-19 Task Force on social distancing, wearing of face masks and proper hygiene practices.
His words: “It has been two years since we took over office as administrators of the Eleme Local Government. And like every administration knows, there is a time for acting and a time for accounting. Ultimately, we will be rendering a full account of our stewardship by 2021. But before then, it is only fair and just to mark where we are coming from, so we can determine how far we have gone. As our elders say, when a person embarks on a journey, he should stop from time to time, to ensure he has not strayed from the path”.
