A prominent traditional ruler in Elele in Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, HRM Chief Okechukwu Okah, the Eze Ali Omukprikwu, has joined the long list of excited Nigerians in describing the re-election of Barr. Nyesom Wike as Governor of Rivers State in the just concluded 2019 gubernatorial election as the best thing to happen to the people of Rivers State.

Making this assertion during a chat with newsmen, Okah maintained that he was not surprised over governor Wike's landslide victory at the poll, having seen the way and manner the good people of Rivers State had turned out in their large numbers to vote massively for him.

“In fact, the overwhelming support accorded to Governor Wike during the 2019 general guber election is a true attestation that over 90% of Rivers people actually needed him for the second term in office, based on his trade record of achievements.

“Besides Rivers is a PDP state and Wike is also on ground, hence I, wonder the kind of magic any other political party would have performed to beat him (Wike) to liberate the people of Rivers State from abject of poverty.

He however prayed that the good people of Rivers State will continue to support Governor Wike who has shown no pretence in transforming the State.

“Honestly, I stand to be corrected that more people oriented projects would be executed by governor Wike in this second term, having known him as a visionary leader that has the interest of the masses at heart”.

Chief Okah also seized the opportunity to call on the opposition to sheath their sword and join hands with Governor Wike to move the state to the next level, as any good transformation done in the state is for the Rivers people and not for Governor Wike alone”.

The traditional ruler who is known for his outspokenness, prayed God to continue to grant Governor Wike wisdom and strength as he prepares to take up the challenge of piloting the affairs of the state for another second term.
