A political group known as PDP Councillorship Aspirants Forum in Rivers State, Khana Chapter, has given kudos to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for appointing qualified sons and daughters from Khana Local Government Area into key positions.
The Coordinator of the Forum, Michael Gbarale, particularly expressed gratitude to the governor for appointing another worthy son of Khana, Dr. Leloonu Nwibubaasa, as a Commissioner, describing him as a professional, who has proven himself as an astute and grassroot politician.
The Coordinator further expressed the Forum's appreciation to Governor Nyesom Wike for fulfilling his electioneering campaign promises to the people of Khana, by embarking on viable projects that have alleviated the suffering of the people and put smiles on their faces especially the dualization of the Saakpenwa – Bori - Kono Road, as well as the street lights; renovation of Birabi Memorial Grammar School (BMGS), Bori, and equipping it with boarding facilities aimed at enhancing teaching and learning .
Others are construction of model General Hospital, Bori, renaming of the Rivers State Polytechnic Bori, after the Ogoni Hero, late Kenule Beeson Saro- Wiwa, which he promised to a upgrade to University and also constituted a committee to look into the development so as to actualize the dream.
The Coordinator, Michael Gbarale, assured the Governor of the continuous support of all the candidates that emerged from party's primaries, adding that those who contested during the primaries were credible, tested and trusted people and appealed to the Ogonis to continue to support the PDP government in Rivers State.
