As church workers gathered for the 2021 workers training towards the preparations for activities ahead, they have been reminded that God has burden for his work and as such they should exercise focus and commitment in order to harvest the benefits of service.
In a training tagged, 'Am I Meeting Up?' the Minister-in- Charge of Rhema Chapel International Churches Port Harcourt, Pastor Abiola Ajadi, who presided over the meeting which is intended to spread through Sundays in January 2021, stated that three events and days are key in human life,' that of birth, (beginning of the journey that would terminate one day), the day a man discovers purpose and the day a man enters into the fulfilment of promise. He noted that the purpose of believers' deliverance and translation to the light is for them to serve and be fully involved in his work, just as Jesus was fully committed, quoting from John 4:24,John 5:17,_1Corinth. 15:58
He challenged the workers to appreciate the burden of God's work in order to serve acceptably.
Pastor Ajadi explained that God's work is characterized by his standards and specifications.
He said: "The work of God is a special work, when you understand it you will flow with it naturally. The work of God suffers from the practitioners, not those who hate the work.
"Those who had their names written in the tablet of God understand the burden of God's work." He cited personalities in the Bible like Apostle Paul, Job, David and others. He informed workers that when they do the job as expected," they will be doing themselves favour.
He listed areas God wants burden for his work to include the fact that God wants his work to go up by sending disciples to spread the gospel.
Also, the pastor said God wants his work to go out. He noted that Christians are too conscious of the work inside than outside. He said that it is time the church developed outside mentality for the harvest of souls. He said, going outside brings opportunity through outreaches to recruit souls into the Kingdom.
He listed other burdens to include the fact that the work of God must be finished, saying that God worked for six days, completed his work and rested; that the work should not be done alone but should be delegated, with opportunity for others to be blessed; doping the work in time and that the work must be done to please God. He concluded that," when we please God it (the work) will be rewarded.”
