Bishop Nwala called on Etche people to maintain their support for Governor Wike, so that he can continue to invest in their welfare.

He said: "Governor Wike has shown immense love for Etche people. He is the first governor to attend our synod. After 10 years of our struggle to build a cathedral, Governor Wike intervened.

"He is the first Governor to declare that Etche has been neglected. And he has taken steps to address the neglect. All over Etche land there are several projects executed by Governor Wike.  If we want more of this love, we must support Governor Wike to remain as Chief Executive beyond 2019".

The clerics of Anglican Diocese of Etche in unison prayed for Governor Wike, his re-election and safety during his campaign.

Responding, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike assured Etche people that he will continue to deliver key projects to transform Etche land.
