Speaking during a condolence visit at the Government House Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said the passage of Aguma was shocking.
He said: "The loss of the Attorney-General of Rivers State was a shocking news to us. This is because of our relationship with the state”.
He prayed God to grant the state the fortitude to bear the painful loss as the services of the Late Attorney-General of Rivers State would be missed by the country.
"We pray that God gives you the strength to bear this great loss. It was something we would not want to see, but God knows the best", he said.
Also speaking, Former Ogun State Governor; Otunba Gbenga Daniel thanked Governor Wike for his contributions to the development of the country.
He also praised the governor for his developmental strides that have positively improved the lives of the people.
Responding, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stated that though the death of the Attorney General of Rivers State was painful, the State is comforted by condolence visits by prominent Nigerians like the former Vice President.
He said the Late Attorney-General of Rivers State was one of his most trusted officials who exhibited loyalty, intelligence and commitment.
The governor said: "He carried out his assignments with diligence. The Late Attorney-General of Rivers State helped us so much especially to defeat the mole, Ali Modu Sheriff who was planted by the APC".
He said Aguma was a legal expert who used his knowledge positively for the good of Rivers State. The Former Vice President later visited the family of the Late Attorney-General of Rivers State.
