Hon. George noted that political power cannot be achieved on a platter of gold but through serious efforts and commitment, by liasing with other ethnic groups to achieve such aim. He, therefore, called on the people of Kalabari to exercise patience and wait for 2023.
He also used the medium to tell the people that the group will empower students with educational materials as a way of relieving some parents the burden of catering for their wards following the hard economic situation in the country.
The Chairman of the group, Daibi Amachree, charged the newly inaugurated Coordinators and Executive council members to go to the nooks and crannies of the local government areas to mobilize support for Governor Nyesom Wike's re-election come 2019.
The PDP stalwart said that the group was borne out of appreciation of the governor's numerous achievements so far in all parts of the State, and also to enable him succeed in the forth-coming general elections.
He said that the group will also ensure that the votes of the people are protected so that the opposition will not steal the mandate of the people of Rivers State.
An ardent supporter of Governor Nyesom Wike, Hon. Seleipiri Francis, who is also the Secretary of the group said that despite the distractions by the opposition, the administration of Governor Wike has really done well for the people of Rivers State, which has left no one in doubt of his ability and vision to do more.
He urged the Kalabaris not to be deceived by the antics of the APC, camouflaging a Kalabari-born governorship aspirant, lamenting that the All Progressives Congress had brought hardship on Nigerians.
Hon. Francis urged Gov Wike to sustain the tempo of development in the State, with a view to improving the quality of life of citizens and an enabling environment for business to thrive in the State. He assured the governor of the group's unflinching support.
