A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Sole Administrator on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam advised the Service Providers to heed to the directive by ensuring that their zones and areas are kept clean 24 hours of the day, warning it would not hesitate to sanction any Service Provider who flouts this directive.
The RIWAMA boss urged Service Providers to ensure that all wastes in their respective areas and zones are timeously evacuated.
The Sole Administrator reiterated the uncompromised commitment of the Agency to restore the Garden City status of Port Harcourt and its surroundings, noting that this onerous task rests squarely on the Service Providers to make it happen.
While expressing his appreciation to those Service Providers who has worked assiduously to achieve the present state of cleanliness of the City, Bro. Obuah charged them to maintain the tempo to ensure a cleaner Rivers State.
Bro. Obuah who gave kudos to Rivers State Governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his support to the Agency, urged the Service Providers to put in their best as a way to reciprocate the Governor’s gesture.
“To clean Rivers State and achieve a healthier environment is a task that must be done. All hands are therefore urged to be on desk to make this happen. I call on all Service Providers to see themselves as stakeholders in this project, and help us in the quest to achieve this goal”, the RIWAMA Sole Administrator declared.
While once more calling for their cooperation, Bro. Obuah further declared that this onerous task of achieving a cleaner and healthier environment in the State is not negotiable and must be achieved.
