The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has once more recorded a milestone in its quest to enthrone lasting democracy in the State. This is sequel to the successful conduct of the Local Government Congress of the party on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
The State Chairman of the party, Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement, praised the delegates for a job well done, reiterating that the party remains committed to the entrenchment of democracy and good governance.
Bro. Obuah expressed joy that the delegates have once more made the party proud, stressing that the successful conduct of the Local Government Congress was coming on the heels of the landmark Ward Congress held across the 319 Wards in the State on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
The State PDP Chairman who described the success of the exercise as a bold and loud statement, called on other political parties in the State to eschew egocentric and selfish politics and borrow a leaf from the PDP.
Bro. Obuah reassured the people of the State that the PDP would remain a model and channel through which good governance would be delivered to the people.
The State PDP boss attributed the success of both Ward and Local Government Area Congresses to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s relentless support and commitment to the party at the local, state and national levels, adding that his countless support has also contributed to the peace and tranquility being enjoyed in the party.
Bro. Obuah once again declared that Governor Nyesom Wike should be given a rousing applause for building a formidable, grassroots-based party that remains unbeatable.
