The event which took place at Kalabari National College Field, Buguma City, Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, was witnessed by thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful.

Speaking at the event, Hon. George, who is the Vision bearer of the group, made it clear that the gesture became necessary looking back at the sacrifice made by those who have been faithful and loyal with their votes for the party, the PDP.

Hon. George said the primary aim of the event was to praise God for His goodness in their lives and also a day for thanksgiving and merriment.

According to him, ASALGA 13 FOR WIKE is a political pressure group galvanizing support (13 wards and 15 communities) for the re-election of 'Mr. Projects', Chief Nyesom Wike and for all other PDP candidates

As part of the donation, all wards in the Local Government Area were given five bags of 50kg rice and one cow each. Wards with high membership strength were given additional bags of rice and one cow. All those referred to as Apex members were given one 50kg bag of rice and one goat each. Furthermore, all members of the local government area Exco, ward coordinators and the media practitioners were given one 25kg bag of rice each and two persons to one goat.
