Rukpokwu Community Development Council (RCDC) Executive has been inaugurated.
The Officers were inaugurated on 21st October, 2018 at the Palace of HRH, Eze Amb. Sir. Dr. Collins Chukwuma Ogwu, Eze Ogwu III, Nyenweli/Paramount Ruler, Rukpokwu Clan.
Inaugurating the new executive in council with his chiefs and Owhor-holders, Eze Ogwu charged them to work for peace and development of Rukpokwu community, stressing that they should unite the indigenes and non-indigenes.
The officers who took oath of office are: Thankgod Owhomka Wuzor – Chairman; Godswill N. Nyemachi – Vice Chairman; Chikaola Godswill Manunyewhor – Secretary; Herold Atuzie Ogwu – Assistant Secretary; Richard Asonye – Treasurer and Gift Azubuike Ikwegbu – PRO.
Others are: Junior Mike Wobe – Financial Secretary, Kingdom Worlu – Director of Socials, Webilor Hachikaru – Provost I and Chikodi Ogbonda – Provost II.
National Network gathered that the new officers are intelligent and hardworking young people who have what it takes to run the affairs of Rukpokwu community successfully.
Speaking to our reporter after the inauguration, the chairman, Thankgod Owhomka Wuzor said his administration would focus on reducing insecurity, cultism and youth restiveness in collaboration with security agents.
He also said he will partner with the government to tackle flood which is a great problem in Rukpokwu Community.
His administration, he equally told National Network, would work out empowerment programmes like skills acquisition for the youths in a bid to divert their attention from cultism and other related crimes.
The chairman announced the dissolution of all standing committees, warning the public not to deal with any other group or committee, except Rukpokwu Community Development Council led by him and which is the only authorized body in charge of the affairs of Rukpokwu Community.
