INEC Recognises Wike’s Faction Of PDP

…As Supporter Break Loose As Kwankwaso Joins ADC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The commission reflected the development on its official website on Monday, where it published an updated leadership structure for the opposition party.
In the revised list, Abdulrahman Mohammed is named as National Chairman, while Senator Samuel Anyanwu is designated as National Secretary.
Other members of the National Working Committee include Ahmed Yayari Mohammed as National Treasurer, Daniel Woyengikuro as National Financial Secretary, and Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN) as National Legal Adviser.
In another development, former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Partyand ex-Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress.
The former Minister of Defence also registered with the ADC and received his membership card on Monday at Gidan Kwankwasiyya, Miller Road, Bompai, Kano.
The event was attended by top figures, including ADC National Chairman and former Senate President, David Mark; former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi; Senator Dino Melaye; and former APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, among others. News Week Nigeria had earlier reported that Kwankwaso announced his resignation from the NNPP on Sunday, citing the need for political realignment.
