Gov Wike’s Achievements Speak For Him – NURTW Chairman

 

As Nigerians celebrate 58 years of nationhood, the Rivers State chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW (Tricycle Section), Chief Benjamin Ibigwe has described Governor Wike as a great achiever and a leader who has done so much to uplift the status of his people.

Chief Ibigwe who made this assessment when he spoke to National Network in Port Harcourt said the governor has touched the lives of Rivers citizens through massive development of infrastructure.

The chairman made reference to the roads Wike had constructed and rehabilitated in the State, stressing that such roads had opened up commercial activities and reduced traffic hold-ups in the State.

Ben who is also known as Nwa Nnewi Associates also commended the governor in the areas of education, health and security.

On security, he said the governor had supported the security agencies in the state through donation of patrol vans and offer of financial assistance.

Another area that gladdens the heart of the State Chairman of NURTW is the entertainment industry, where he used the Port Harcourt Pleasure park as a point of example. He told National Network that the Pleasure Park has become a hub of entertainment where many people from different areas come for pleasure and relaxation, especially on weekends. He also described it as a wonderful tourists’ attraction.

“These achievements speak for the governor and will translate to his victory in the 2019 governorship election” the Enyi Oha I of Oroigwe said.

Chief Ibigwe said beause of his achievements the governor deserves to be celebrated, while calling on Rivers people to rally round him and work for his re-election in 2019.

“I and my union are solidly behind him”, he said.
