The Rivers State House of Assembly candidate for Degema Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections, Hon. Anthony Soberekon, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude, commending all stakeholders in the area for ensuring his emergence at the primary elections of the constituency.
In a statement signed by Hon. (Mrs.) Okorite Carrie Adiele and made available to the press, Hon. Soberekon said he was overwhelmed by the support and confidence reposed in him.
He used the opportunity to also thank God Almighty and the State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for the grace and support respectively as well as the people of Degema and promised to exhibit the party’s spirit of fear of God and obedience to constituted authority.
According to him, “Governor Wike is the Solomon of our time, going by his extra-ordinary wisdom and leadership style. I promised to be servant-leader and loyal in the discharge of his duties, if voted into office come 2019”.
Hon. Soberekon also used the opportunity to reiterate his promise to give effective representation of the Degema constituency when given the chance.
“Before now”, the statement disclosed, “Hon. Tony Soberekon has held different leadership positions, including, a pioneer Engineer with the “ECONET WIRELESS Nig Ltd; Bille Kingdom Students Union President, Chairman, Bille Kingdom Community Trust and Degema I, Cluster Development Board Chairman.
