Fruits, Vegetable Sellers Assures Gov. Wike, Others of Victory At Polls

The fruits and vegetable traders of D-Line area of Port Harcourt have declared their total support for Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s second term ambition.

In an interview with newsmen at their office over the weekend in Port Harcourt, the Executive Chairman of the Market Union, Mr. Fubara Mathew said for all that the governor has done for them especially coming to their aids when the market was burnt recently, they are highly indebted to him.

He said the traders have been sensitizing their members and neighbours on the need to reciprocate the governor’s good gestures by voting him again into power, adding that they all have their PVCs and ready to demonstrate their love for him.

“We have mobilize support enough for Gov. Wike and indeed all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming election and we must defend our votes and ensure that they count”.

Mr. Fubara made it clear that even if the courts return the APC candidates to the contest, it would make no difference as the PDP candidates have covered a lot of ground work and that besides, the APC led federal government can hardly point at any projects for campaigns unlike their PDP political opponents. “The APC don’t have morale justification to canvas for votes in the South-South zone.

Also speaking, the Secretary General of the Union, Mr. Nebeli Anthony Odoh said the Wike-led state government has demonstrated enough capacity and willingness to improve the people welfare so much so that the PDP doesn’t need campaigning as their numerous infrastructural and human development is speaking for them.

He used the opportunity to once more express the traders gratitude for coming to their aid at their moment of grief.

Mr. Odoh however, appealed to “Mr. Quality Project” to please facilitate the quick completion of the market to enable them relocate to their permanent site, adding that the traders are not comfortable in the temporary site they are.

The union equally used the opportunity to appeal to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a free and peaceful election to avoid plunging the country into crisis.
