The group therefore joined other stakeholders to call for the setting up of a Commission of Inquiry into the Presidential and National Assembly election which it said is a national embarrassment.

GFGG also used the chance to express its appreciations to the performance of the Obio/Akpor LG Boss, Hon Solomon Abel Eke, adding that the development has really confirmed the idiom that “when the righteous rule, the people rejoice”.

Princess Joy Kanu recalled some of the people-oriented programmes and policies of the council administration which stood it out.

“The Obio/Akpor LG administration which assumed office seven months ago passed a supplementary budget that enabled it to put a lot of infrastructure in place and improve the environmental sanitation for the smooth running of the council.
