The Wike Solidarity Movement (WSM) condemns in totality the unlawful invasion of the Port Harcourt residence of Hon. Gabriel Pidomson last night the 7th March, 2019.
Hon. Pidomson a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and a one time secretary to the state government who currently is the Board of Trustee Chairman of the Wike Solidarity Movement (WSM) and also doubles as the Director of Mobilization and Voter’s sensitization of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaigns Council in Rivers State has been known over the years as a peaceful and law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Therefore the invasion of his Port Harcourt residence and that of other PDP chieftains in Rivers State is totally unacceptable hence cautions that such acts capable of increasing the already tensed polity in the state be stopped forth-with. The series of attacks on members of the PDP and that of WSM is undemocratic, dictatorial and unlawful hence should stop immediately to avoid anarchy.
While we try not to interfere in the duties of the military, we wish to state in clear terms that the military is to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians hence should avoid the temptation of meddling into partisan politics.
We also use this medium to warn those fanning the embers of discord, disunity and subjugation amongst Rivers State Sons and Daughters to desist as there is life after politics.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to God for his miracles and thank His Excellency Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa) for his timely intervention.
Finally, we call on all PDP faithfuls to go about their normal businesses and remain resolute in our course to vote all PDP candidates come Saturday March 9th.
