PDP Chieftain Lambasts Proponents Of Sole Administrator In Rivers

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Hon. Vincent Nwaobakata Job, has described the idea of Sole Administrator for Rivers State being mooted by enemies of the State following the inconclusiveness of the gubernatorial polls by INEC, as evil and said it would not be well for those making such call.

Job, who spoke with journalists on the sidelines of an event in Omoku, said some residents of the state were denied of their voting rights as a result of the militarization of the exercise, saying “we are going many steps back forward instead of improving”.

“It is not possible. I’m not foreseeing Sole Administrator for Rivers State. Already, the election has been won just that the Federal Government is using gimmicks to delay the result. Nowhere in a democracy when election has been conducted just to declare the winner, you say you are bringing in sole administrator. It is not possible. What the federal government deems fit, let them do but all I know is that the ballot is stronger than the bullet”, he said.

He added that despite all the intimidation and militarization of collation centres, PDP will emerge victorious, saying “We have the people”.

Similarly, the Deputy leader of ONELGA Legislative Assembly, Hon Vincent Nnebua, has commended the people of the area during the presidential/governorship polls, giving credit to the security outfit, OSPAC. He commended the administration of Amb Victor Odili, the ONELGA council boss for the support to OSPAC and security agencies. According to him, OSPAC has earned the respect of all, urging them to maintain the tempo.
