Grassroot For Good Governance Hails AAC Dep. Gov, Bomba Yeeh

A frontline socio-political group in Rivers State under the aegis of Grassroot For Good Governance (GFGG) has hailed the decision of the African Action Congress (AAC) deputy governor, Mr, Akpo Bomba Yeeh to dump the camp of what it described as the enemies of Rivers State.

Speaking with newsmen on Monday, March 25, 2019 in reaction to the development, during a prayer session by the group seeking divine intervention in the stalemate, the National coordinator of the group, Princess Joy Kanu said the news was cheering as it would further disable the evil machination of the Minister of Transportation Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi against the State.

“What Mr. Akpo Bomba Yeeh did at the circumstance was reasonable and was in the interest of the State.

Princess Kanu further stated that the reasons which the former opposition party deputy governor reeled out that prompted him to make up his mind was shocking and condemnable by all well-meaning Nigerians.

She made it clear that Amaechi and his APC faction had no business meddling in the 2019 general election in the first place if not for mischief; adding that despite the plots and conspiracies of the APC-federal government, justice must prevail in Rivers States and Wike must be declared the winner of that March 9, election.

According to her, “most appalling is the unholy conspiracy of Rivers major stakeholders and statesmen like the former Governor, Rufus Ada-George and former Minister, Alabo Graham Douglas due to pecuniary inducement to destroy their own state and reputation.

The group National Coordinator lamented that there was no State in the Northern part of the country where armed soldiers and policemen were brazenly involved in the killing, maiming and intimidation of the electorate to the advantage of a particular political party except in the Southern part, adding that the Southern political leaders who were used as pawns in the hands of the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy should be ashamed of themselves.

Princess Kanu however made it known that despite the delay in the INEC pronouncement of Rivers State electoral results which she noted is adversely affecting her economy, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and the People Democratic Party victory at the polls would be upheld at last, advising Rivers people and residents to remain calm and steadfast.
