R/S College of Health Resumes Academic Activities
The Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Technology has resumed academic activities after the crisis that rocked the college as a result of cult activities.
The Provost of the College, Dr Franklin Nlerum made the disclosure after the meeting between Management and Students Union Government of the College.
The students had on thursday 21ts March, 2019 went on rampage when Anti Cultism Unit of the Nigerian Police came to arrest some students suspected to be involved in Cult Activities on Campus.
Dr. Nlerum said the students misconstrued them to be unknown gun men and prevented them from carrying out their lawful duties.
He said the police was still carrying out their investigations and will release the innocent ones adding that those found culpable will face the music.
He however assured that normal academic work has commenced and call on the students to come back to school.
Also speaking the Students’ Union President, Comrade Rosebery Minini Braide said the students have apologized to the School’s Management for the embarrassment and enjoined students to resume their academic activities.
He maintained that the students can not be bigger than the Management and called on students to conduct themselves well while taking their academic work more seriously.
