Wike Holds First Executive Council Meeting After Re-Election

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Friday, presided over the first State Executive Council meeting after he was duly re-elected by  people of the state.

The meeting held at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House, Port Harcourt.

In attendance were Deputy Governor Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Sir Kenneth Kobani, Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, Commissioners and other members of the State Executive Council.

Governor Wike was declared winner of the Rivers State Governorship Election after Collation of results on April 3, 2019 at the INEC Headquarters, Port Harcourt.

Governor Wike polled 886, 264 votes to defeat Mr Biokpomabo Awara of AAC who had 173,859 votes. He emerged victorious with a margin of 712,405 votes.
