Gov Wike’s Reconciliatory Move, Exemplary – Eze Ben Ugo

The reconciliatory move by the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to his political opponents and enemies in the interest of the state has been described as exemplary and typical of a divine leader ready to provide purposeful leadership to his people.

This was the view of the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Omerelu Kingdom in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH, Eze (Engr) Ben Ugo (JP) “Elumuoha VIII” in a chat with newsmen in his palace over the weekend.

“I commend the governor for sending out the olive branch to all other political opponents and people of Rivers State for them to come together and build the state because we don’t have any other state to call our own”.

The monarch made it known that the gesture is really a sign of maturity and magnanimity which should be embraced by all for the state to move forward.

He urged every aggrieved persons in course of the 2019 general election to bury their hatchets and allow Rivers State move forward as the governor has promised an all inclusive administration.

The Paramount Ruler on behalf of Omerelu Council of Chiefs seized the opportunity to commiserate with all the people who paid the supreme sacrifice in course of defending the nascent democracy.

“We also sympathize with all the families who sustained various degree of injuries or loss” even as we call on our people outside the state to have a rethink, come back and help Governor Wike to stabilize and take the state to higher height”.

The Omerelu Paramount Ruler on behalf of his traditional rulers, council of chiefs, CDC, opinion leaders, women and youths of Omerelu clan equally used the opportunity to heartily congratulate governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on his electoral victory during the Governorship/House of Assembly election of March 9, 2019, adding that the victory has demonstrated the confidence of Rivers people in asserting the choice of who will lead them.     

The monarch made it clear that the people stood in defence of their mandate to the end in defiance of illegal molestation and operations.

He also used the opportunity to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to him, standing on the side of truth in respect of the open molestation and accusation, adding that the victory should first be dedicated to God Almighty and then the people of Rivers State.

He equally commended the religious leaders, churches and traditionalists for their ceaseless prayers for the state and country.
