…Calls Nwanosike Team Player Par Excellence
Rivers State Governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has been lauded for his achievement and piloting affairs of the state in line with yearnings of the people.
A non-governmental organization, Niger Delta Liberation Movement (NDLM) made the commendation on Monday while reviewing the performances of Governor Wike within the last five years of his administration.
Coordinator of the group, Prophet John Bassey Udeme while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, said the governor has demonstrated capacity and also matched all pre-election promises to Rivers people with action.
Udeme, a clergyman and founder of Voice of Freedom Synagogue, Umuebule 1 in Etche Local Government Area, disclosed that his group have concluded plans to honour Governor Wike as ‘Okosisi 1 of Nigeria’ because of his proactive dispositions on issues of governance, especially his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
The light-skinned ‘seer’ while disclosing that the event would hold on 1st September, 2020 in Port Harcourt, however said it would be an inhouse event, stating that the situation stemmed from the limitations imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
“As far as we are concerned, and while also speaking the minds of millions of people in the state and beyond, Governor Wike is the most outstanding and performing State chief executive in Nigeria. He has exemplified excellence in governance. He is God-fearing and friendly to people irrespective of class and affiliations”, he said.
He said the governor would further be celebrated for his knack for prudent management of resources, which has resulted to what he described as uncommon achievements.
Prophet Udeme disclosed that his group would also honour the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon (Engr) Samuel Nwanosike, whom he described as one of Governor Wike’s most loyal sons.
“Nwanosike is a Team Player par-excellence, a Grade A Chairman; he is Ekwueme, a visionary, pragmatic, consistent, passionate and reliable leader.
“We are celebrating abold, courageous and grassroot leader whose love and support for the church of Jesus Christ is exemplary”, he said.
The clergyman also spoke on the forthcoming Edo Governorship Election, expressing confidence that the incumbent Governor Obaseki would emerge victorious ‘because Wike is involved’.
He also advised President Muhammadu Buhari to overhaul the country’s overall architecture, stressing that the country is at a standstill at the moment. “Nothing is working in the country”, he declared.
