Medical Laboratory Science Council Of Nigeria Inducts 129 Graduands Of  Rivers State University

…As VC Warns Against Compromise

A new batch of 129 graduands of the Rivers State University has been inducted into the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

Among those inducted were three graduands with first class degrees.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Blessing Didia warned the graduands not to compromise in the discharge of their professional duties.

The Vice Chancellor who was represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor, Boma Oruwari, told the inductees to be guided by ethics of the medical profession and be good ambassadors of the University.

The Dean, Faculty of Science, Professor Valantine Omubo-Pepple, expressed satisfaction with the quality of graduands being inducted.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, Prof. Blessing Dibia, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa), Staff and Students of the University on the celebration of this Year’s Easter.

The Vice Chancellor, who recalled the recent victory of Governor Nyesom Wike for a second term, described the coincidence of the Governor Victory and Easter celebration as divine.

Prof. Chimezie Dibia called on staff and students of the University to take advantage of the Easter celebration to imbibe the culture of living a life of sacrifice, humility, love and selfless service of Jesus Christ which made him to die on the cross for the salvation of mankind.

The University Administrator reiterated his earlier resolve to instill both academic and moral rectitude in the University as a key tenet of Christian practice.
