Hon. Neka Sam, Governor Wike Liason Officer in Khana Local Government Area, and Suage Badey, the South-East Senatorial district candidate on the platform of the Accord Party during the last election in Rivers State have said Governor Wike’s second tenure in office will witness all-round development in the state.

They made the disclosure in Port-Harcourt last Saturday during the state thanksgiving service for Governor Wike’s election victory at Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The duo while appealing for peace and unity of purpose to move the state forward, urged the people of the state to support and co-operate with Governor Wike in his effort to build a united prosperous state.

In their separate speeches, Hon. Badey said there will be an impressive development in the state if the attitude of the followers fall in line with the guidance of the leadership.

He commended the people for turning out en-masse despite the heavy downpour last Saturday to celebrate with the governor at the Stadium during his victory thanksgiving service.

While speaking on the issues of security in the state, he lamented that things had really deteriorated in Rivers State but expressed the belief that the government of the state would handle the situation.

On the olive branch extended to opposition members in the state as they were completely absent in the programme at the stadium, he said “if they are not present in this service, then that is not statesmanship, because with all due respect to them, they ought to have embraced the olive branch extended to them so that the state will move forward; we cannot keep fighting and hinder development”.

Speaking in a similar vein, Sam while congratulating the governor has done well in every sphere of life in the state,  assured that his second tenure would witness massive development in the state. He listed some of the things he has done in Khana Local Government Area to include the construction of Bori General Hospital, Saakpeanwa road and the renovation of several primary and secondary schools in the area amongst others.

He condemned the insecurity in Ogoni and urged the youths to embrace peace. He also disclosed that the king of Babbe dethroned recently by the governor will not be reinstated.
