…Call For Citing Of Area Command In Etche
Following the recent commissioning of projects embarked upon by the Etche America Foundation (EAF) from the United State of America, a distinguished Etche chief and Justice of Peace, Chief Emmanuel Anele has called on EAF to continue with their good mission of curbing criminality and supporting the Nigeria Police.
Chief Anele (JP), who described the projects as important as life especially in the area of partnership with the Nigeria police, joined the group to demand the citing of Area Command in Etch to enable police spread their tentacles to all nooks and crannies, adding that the two police divisional headquarters in Etche and Omuma are very small compared with the population of Etche as the fourth largest in Rivers State.
He called on other Etche sons and daughters in other countries to emulate the good gesture of EAF including politicians, business moguls and philanthropists just as he noted that security is every body’s business.
In the same vein, Mr. Dominic Amangwu, Chairman, Board of Directors, Etche America Foundation (EAF), thanked the foundation for their courage and living up to expectations especially in carrying out other programs like education, health related issues including economy.
He congratulated the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief, (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on his re-election and efforts in curbing criminality adding that the Chairman of Etch Local Government Area, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, traditional rulers, the immediate past DPO of Okehi, CSP Dayyabu Ahmed, who opened their eyes to the magnitude of insecurity in Etche nation are not left out.
However, CSP Dayyabu Ahmed, the immediate past DPO of Okehi police Division appealed to the CP. Mustapha Dandaura, to use his good offices to approve the request by the people of Etche because, he had monitored different activities in Etche and Omuma.
He congratulated the Etche America Foundation and the people of Etche Ethnic Nationality for supporting him when he was there, stressing that, they should also back the new DPO, CSP Chebwarke Hamuel, to maintain the standard in order to minimize criminality so that the people will sleep with their two eyes closed. Dignitaries from all works of life witnessed the ceremony.
