Middle-Aged Man Escapes Death,  Kidnap In PH

A middle aged man, Mr Fadeshire Oluwasoji has survived death by the whiskers and a kidnap attempt by armed men along the Rumualogu, SARs axis in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State

In his mid 30s, Mr Oluwasoji who hails from Oyo state narrated that he was returning to his residence in Rumualogu on June 25, 2019 along side his fiance, Foluke Adebesin at about 9.45pm when suddenly a Sienna car stopped by and ordered them to get out of the car.

Narrating his ordeal to National Network at a hospital in Port Harcourt where is currently receiving treatment, Mr Oluwasoji said he had approached the gate to his compound waiting for the gate to be opened when the armed men arrived and forced him out of his Corolla car, shot him at his left thigh and abducted his fiancé, Foluke.

According to him the armed gang abandoned their operational Sienna and took away his Corolla car.

“The Sienna was passing while I was trying to enter my gate. Suddenly, they reveresed and one person came to my side and asked me to wind down. I wound down and he said I just should come down. I even thought they were Police because I was addressing them politely. I kept saying Sir, I am not a Yahoo guy.

“I was still trying to make sense of what was happening and the next thing was a gunshot on my left thigh. They then pulled me out of the my Green Corolla Car and took my fiance away.

“My neighbors came out after the incident and rushed me to UPTH. That night, my colleagues at Fidson also reported the matter to SARS and the next morning they reported to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit.”

Mr. Oluwasoji confirmed that his fiance, escaped from her abductors, but his Corolla car is yet to be recovered from the hoodlums.

When contacted, spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
