Wike’s Latest Security Initiative Sure To Restore Total Peace In Rivers – Man O’ War Commander

The Deputy National Commandant of the “Man O’ War para-military outfit, Commander Kriss Natty Risi has commended the security initiative of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, describing the policy as one capable of finally restoring peace and security in the land if properly managed.

He stated this over the weekend in Port Harcourt in a chat with newsmen shortly after the launching of the programme.

According to him, “what the governor has done is very remarkable and with the support of everybody, insecurity will be a thing of the past here in the state, though Rivers State might not be the worst of it”, he noted.

The “Man O’ War” Commander used the opportunity to appeal to the Federal  Government to not only support the Rivers State Government achieve set goals but ensure the full operation of the Neighbourhood Watch Agency meant to assist the security operatives.

He warned on the implication of playing politics with security matters, adding that when the FG disallows the operation of the Neighbourhood Watch Agency or Community Policing, it means that the FG is indirectly encouraging crimes and criminality in the land.

On the RUGA controversy, the Security Expert made it clear that the Rivers State Government has made it clear and has the total support of the people that there is no room for cattle ranches under whatever name, adding that as far as he is concern “cattle rearing is a private business like any other and should not be uplifted to disturb the national psyche. 

“There is no landed property for such a policy or programme for the Fulani herdsmen “period”.

The “Man O’ War” Commander however was taken aback when he realize that his outfit were not recognized nor considered in the distribution of the security/patrol vans as one of the paramilitary organizations immensely contributing in the peace and security of the country.

He however appealed to Gov Wike to passionately consider them, adding that it could be an oversight.

Commander Risi, equally used the opportunity to appeal to the derailed youths in the country, be them cultists, kidnappers or yahoo boys to have a re-think and live a useful life, saying that there is no short-cut to life but that with hardwork, diligence and obedience to constituted authority, they too would still make it in accordance with their destiny.
