The authorities of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, Wednesday stormed the Chapel of Jesus Christ, Worship Centre of Students on the campus and stopped the students from using the chapel.
Investigation revealed that no sooner had the students mostly Civil Engineering Students gathered for the praise worship than the management of the institution accompanied by security operatives invaded the worship centre and dispersed the students.
The students were said to have gathered to thank God having finished their final year exams as was their tradition but were shocked at the turn of events where they had to be chased away.
A source however, confirmed that the student worshippers appeared to have defied the orders of the school authorities on the dress code of students wishing to use the worship centre.
Most of the students allegedly dressed indecently to the consternation of the school authorities who alerted the security operatives to stop the students.
The students were also said to have used same excuse of celebrating end of final exams in the past to cause reckless breach of peace in the campus, injuring innocent students in the process which no responsible management will tolerate.
One of such reckless acts by students during such end of the final exams church service is throwing sachet water at one another, an action the management said can trigger off quarrels.
House Minority Leadership: Gov Wike Slams PDP Investigative Committee

Rivers State Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has slammed the investigative committee which was set up by the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), to investigate what has been described as the illegal emergence of Ndudi Elumelu as the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
Wike expressed his disappointment in the investigative committee, announcing that the committee is the most corrupt in the records of the party as they failed to carry out the responsibility given to them properly.
Speaking in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Wike appreciated Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Austin Opara for not allowing himself to be a part of the illegal act of the committee.
The governor further said the committee which was set up by the PDP on the emergence of Ndudu Elumelu is the most corrupt ever set up by the party”.
He was however, full of praises for the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Reps, Hon Austin Opara for not letting himself to be entangled in the illegal activities of the corrupt committee.
Wike cautioned the party not to toy with Rivers State as it is not in favour of the party to do so, emphasizing that he is not one of those Governors that anyone can mess around with.
