…Also Reassures Adherence To Tenets Of Social Contract
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has assured that the State Government will continue to adhere to tenets of the social contract it entered with Rivers people.
Speaking during the 13th Anniversary Celebration of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), on Sunday, Governor Wike said that the delivery of projects and empowerment of the people will be sustained.
He said: “The Government is determined to create the enabling environment for investors to come into Rivers State through the promotion of security.
“We are determined to sustain the development of infrastructure. We will continue to adhere to the social contract we have with Rivers people.”
The Rivers State Governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, expressed gratitude to the General Overseer of OPM for delivering God’s prophecy on the governor’s re-election.
He said: “We will not forget that you prophesied that the Rivers State Governor will be re-elected as a second term governor. In the course of the election , there were uncertainties. But the word of God from a genuine man of God came to pass.
“That singular prophecy led to some of your members to have misgivings. But today, with the fulfillment of that prophecy, those who left are beginning to return”, he said.
Governor Wike congratulated the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) on the special celebration of his 46th birthday anniversary.
Governor Wike also congratulated OPM on its 13th Year of existence as a church. He said God can use anybody and can make something out of nothing. He noted that the story of Apostle Chibuzor is the typical act of God’s blessing.
Governor Wike said: “We give God all the glory on what he has done in the life of this cleric. Looking back on where OPM as a church is coming from, with the branches all over the world, you can see that God is here.
“The rapid growth of the Ministry shows the presence of God. Your programmes and activities conform with the programmes of New Rivers Vision.
“We look at your free education programme, your free health programme and the inroads towards counselling cultists. They are good programmes that promote the development of the State.”
He said that the Rivers State Government has no option, but to continue to support OPM .
He urged clerics to pray for the security of the entire country.
General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, said God’s gift on his life is un-merited and given freely for him to serve humanity.
He said OPM is rehabilitating millions of people, turning them to responsible people who will make heaven.
Apostle Chinyere said that the Ministry remains committed to free social services through the empowerment of God. He said church funds should be used to empower the people.
