The National president of the Radio television Theatre and Arts workers Union of Nigeria-Rattawu Comrade Kabir Garba Tssani says his administration will not rest on its oars in the human and infrastructural development of the Union to a world class standard.
“My administration is totally committed to the human and infrastructural development of the Union without any compromise'”
Comrade Kabir Garba Tssani who disclosed this in a media chat with news men in Abuja reiterated the commitment of his leadership in the training and re-training of membership of the Union on both national and international courses to upgrade their knowledge in modern times trade union’s practice across the globe.
The Rattawu National president said the Union has to be transformed in all ramifications , noting that the present leadership has zero tolerance for indiscipline, sharp practices and acts that run foul of the extant laws of the Union.
The Rattawu boss further explained that on assumption of duty as the National PRESIDENT that the central working committee of the Union empowered him to constitute a standing disciplinary committee saddles with the responsibility to discipline erring members of the Union .
According to him, today the committee has sanitized the Union irrespective of your position in the Union. a job he considers as the bedrock of any growing industrial union.
On the infrastructural development of the Union, the national president of Rattawu said an annex of the national secretariat has been commissioned by his administration including the interlocking of the premises of the national secretariat.
He disclosed that with the approval of the central working committee , official vehicles were procured for the offices of the National President, Deputy National President and the General secretary including the procurement of communication gadgets in the offices and a world class conference table .
The National President of Rattawu declared that he has a cordial working relationship with members of the central working committee and NEC
members of the Union , emphasising that he had toured all state Councils of the Union across the country.
Commenting on the title of the ODOGU 1 OF ASABA conferred on him by the delta state council of the Union, the Rattawu Leader described it as a “unity title” highly cherished by him and his family and how ever thank Delta state council for the honour done him.
The national president of Rattawu Comrade Kabir Garba Tssani however used the forum to FELICITATES with his Christian members and brothers on the celebration of Christmas.
He enjoined them to see the birth of Jesus Christ as a period for prayer and fasting for peace and security across the country and wishes them a successful celebration.
