Rivers First Lady Honours Little Flourish Amaechi
…As She Fetes Rivers Children
The beautiful daughter of a popular multi-talented artist in Port Harcourt, little Miss Flourish Amaechi has won for herself a big television set for her brilliance at the 2019 children Christmas party organized by the Rivers State First Lady, Her Excellency, Justice Suzzette Eberechi Nyesom Wike at Government House, Port Harcourt.
She beat other children in the contest which included comedy, dance and quiz competition to win the conveted prize. The father of the girl, Mr. Christian Okoro alias “Man Paulo” said he was overwhelmed and pleasantly surprised at the development and gave God all the glory for the victory and favour.
Addressing the children drawn from the 23 local government areas of the state and the non-indigenes children, Justice Nyesom Wike said that the theme of this year Rivers Christmas Children Party is “A thankful Rivers State”.
She said “The state appreciates God for all the wonderful things that He has done for the State in 2019, God has been merciful to Rivers State, His love is endless and indescribable. A lot has happened this year but God kept us together and we are happy”.
She said that Christmas is about the birth of Christ, who was sent by God to reconcile humanity to God Almighty. This is the time families come together to celebrate the birth of Christ. We should all be thankful to God for giving us his precious son to save us and reconcile us with Him, it is a time to give thanks, she said.
The Rivers Governor’s wife thanked Rivers children for the mass turnout. She said that the party was approved by the Rivers State Governor for the right social interaction at the end of the year.
Highpoint of the 2019 Rivers State Christmas Party was the cutting of the cake by the wife of the governor, wives of top government officials, as well as selected children and parents.
Speaking to journalists, the selected children who attended the party including Miss. Flourish Amaechi expressed happiness with the quality of entertainment and the show of motherly love by the wife of the governor.
