Rep. O. K. Chinda Dissociates Self From Dubious Facebook Accounts, Warns Fraudsters
The member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. O. K. Chinda has denied a dubious facebook accounts linking him. He noted the move is with an intent to impersonate and swindle members of the public.
Warning about activities of fraudsters, the Rep. informed that “relevant law enforcement agencies have been notified accordingly”, as a way of unmasking the perpetrators of the dubious act.
A statement from the office of Rep O. K. Chinda revealed that recent pattern employed by the fraudsters “is to tell their victims that the supposed and fake Hon. O. K. Chinda is the chairman House Committee on Prisons and Social Welfare or ad-hoc Chairman House Committee on prisons inmates welfare and hospitality for the presidency with a promise of a job or contracts.”
The statement explained further that the victims of the fraudsters would then be directed to one Chief Dr. Blessing Kenneth with the following phone number 08064714426 and bank details: 2254190450 Zenith Bank, to help them hatch their plans.
The statement called on members of the public to exercise caution as Hon. O. K. Chinda is not the Chairman, House committee on Prisons and Social Welfare, just as the fraudsters facebook accounts linking him are fake.
It further warned that tricksters are known to open multiple accounts and capable of hacking into anyone’s accounts.
The statement therefore dissociates Hon. O. K. Chinda from asking “constituents or citizens for money concerning getting jobs and contracts or direct them to someone who will do so.”
It advised anyone with genuine dealings with the Rep to explore original known channels through his aides, staff, constituency office, National Assembly office and Obio/Akpor Embassy.
