Reports say two suspected Deygbam cult members were arrested at Nanka/Illabouchi Street Mile 2 Diobu last Friday when two factions of the group engaged themselves in a battle over a lady.
A member of Diobu vigilante who did not want his name in print told our reporter that the group while on routine patrol received a distress call that suspected cultists were engaged in a battle at Nanka waterfront .
The security personnel disclosed that the group quickly mobilized and arrested two suspects including one who was stabbed severally.
He said the suspects were handed over to officers of Operation Delta Flush, a patrol van attached to Diobu Divisional Police headquarters, Mile 1 .
The spokesperson of Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni,a Superintendent of Police(SP) was yet to respond to text messages sent by our reporter as at press time.
We gathered that the suspects are facing interrogation and normalcy has returned to the area as at time of filing the report.
