Concession Of Govt-Owned Farms, Catering Rest Houses In Rivers: RSG Seeks Services Of Transaction Advisers
In furtherance to the ongoing concession of 13 government-owned farms and 8 Catering Rest Houses by the Rivers State Bureau for Public Private Partnership (RSBPPP), the Executive Director of the agency, Ibrahim Eddy Mark, has announced plans to engage the services of Transaction Advisers for the execution of the project.
The Executive Director in a statement said the decision to engage Transaction Advisers for the project is in compliance with the guidelines of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) and global best practices.
He said the Transaction Advisers would provide a broad range of advisory services for the Concession of the 13 government-owned Farms and 8 Catering Rest Houses, adding that applicants must be qualified and experienced.
Eddy Mark said the Transaction Advisers are expected to perform the following services which include: Review of project pre-developments (i.e. project proposal, Bill of Quantities, Pre-feasibility report, business plan financial projections etc) submitted by potential investors.
They are also expected to conduct environmental and social impact assessment of proposed projects; carry out legal, financial and technical due diligence on potential investors (firms) and provide advice.
The RSBPPP boss added that the Transaction Advisers would be further required to provide detailed feasibility report for the projects under consideration, amongst others.
He said the submission of Expression of Interest and all the accompanying documents should reach the office of the Executive Director at 6A Harley Street, Old GRA, Port Harcourt not later that 4.00 pm on Friday, 23rd of October, 2020.
