Federal Lawmaker, Dum Dekor Builds Police Station In Taabaa

Member of the House of Representatives representing Gokana/Khana Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor, has said that the establishment of the Taabaa Divisional Police Headquarters will help in the fight against insecurity in Khana Local Government Area.

Rt. Hon. Dekor who stated this when he embarked on inspection tour of the Taabaa Police Station facility on Thursday, said tough times await those indulging in crime and criminality in the region as the Taabaa Police Station has been mobilized with personnel to combat crime and flush out criminal elements.

According to him, one of the major problems facing the people of Khana is insecurity, adding, “As I speak with you, some communities in Khana LGA have been deserted as a result of cultism. People can no longer sleep with their two eyes close.  But thank God we now have the Taabaa Police Station which will complement the effort of the Bori Police Station”, said the federal lawmaker.

The federal lawmaker who was a former Commissioner for Works in the State, however disclosed that the Taabaa Police Station will commence operations from Monday, April 19, 2021, and called on residents of the area to assist the division with useful information that will help in checkmating crime in the area.

Rt. Hon. Dekor who single-handedly built the police divisional headquarters in Taabaa, said the facility has already been handed over to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, adding that the division will provide adequate security for the people of Taabaa and neighbouring communities.
