Ambassador Akawor who noted that the project is very significant to the people of Oyigbo, said it is a manifestation of the love the Governor has for the people of the area. “The Governor would have forgotten about the project since it had been abandoned by the previous government, but realising its importance to the people and the benefit the state would derive from it, he decided to take on the project which has been abandoned since 2012. With this project here in Oyigbo many people will now come to Oyigbo to look for available land on which to plant Cassava and sell to the factory, thereby making raw materials available to the firm and improving the economy.
