A new Registrar has been appointed for the Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku, in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State. He is Dr. Godpower Obi Ahiakwo who until his elevation, the Deputy Registrar charge of (Human Resources) of the College.
The new Registrar whose appointment takes effect from the 1st of August, 2021 for a period of five (5) years in the first instance is to succeed the outgoing Registrar/Secretary to Council of the institution, Dr. (Pastor) Liverpool Eboh Onyije, Fcai, MNIM (AP) whose statutory two (2) term tenure of ten (10) years ends July 31st 2021.
Dr. Godpower Obi Ahiakwo who faced the interview panel along with four others was unanimously found worthy both in character, learning, and in service to occupy the position by members of the College 7th Governing Council led by an elder statesman, Alhaji Aliyu Umaru at its 87th meeting held on Thursday July 8, 2021.
The new Registrar was born on 27th March 1965, like his predecessor in office, combines solid academic background with appropriate work experience and community service.
