The Executive Chairman of Khana LGA, Dr. Thomas Bariere has expressed sadness over the unwarranted killings in certain communities in Khana.
Dr. Thomas made this assertion when he visited Luawii, Gwara, and Boue communities to condole with the families of innocent victims of the gruesome attack perpetrated by unscrupulous elements Monday.
He said ” We are here today to sympathize with you over the sudden death of your sons, brothers and husbands, who lost their lives through the hands of miscreants that want to destabilize our communities, as a Chairman who was elected by the people to ensure the safety of lives and properties, I want to assure you that perpetrators of this act won’t go unpunished.
“We will use every arsenal at our disposal to make sure that these evil people are brought to book because no one has the right to take the life of another person”.
He further enjoined the people of the affected communities not to take laws into their hands,
“My advice to the people of Luawii, Gwara and Boue communities is not to take laws into their hands and launch any reprisal attack on anyone or any community, because this fight is not your fight, Government is on top of the situation and will act accordingly, this is my assurance to you”.
