CHRISTIANS: THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME TO WAKE UP FROM SLUMBER IN NIGERIA AND TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS.
Let me first react to this quotation @ ” Are there any any Christian leaders who can be this bold and dare the consequences ? Where are the Gbonigis, the Olubunmi Okojies ? We should speak out and speak up”.
We have more than enough of the names mentioned above if we are united and not selfish from our thinking mentality, denominationalism, ethnicity bigotry and selfish attitudes.
The Gbonigis and Okojies and their likes have done their own. They are too old and are already looking towards the East now.
We the younger ones should take up the batons from them.
How ready are we?
We are more than Conquerors.
When we speak, we should not be condemned by our members as some will say we are talking politics as if we are not concerned. We are all political animals.
Afterall, We vote. We have Politicians in our midst. Those who fear God among them contribute their quotas.
Yes, it is Prayers that are backed up by practical actions that can safe Christians from imminent evil forces that are already affecting us.
If we want to hand over Christianity to our future Children and not from this ” I don’t care mentality” and of only “Evangelism” that is not deep rooted in Faith, we may be doomed.
Today’s approach of our growing Religion/Christianity should go with dogged and practical methods than “slap me and I laugh and or kill my family and I praise you because of fear or rather, they are rolling out “draconian laws that will end Christian Religion and yet, we keep mute saying “it is un-Christian”.
When they finish us (God forbids) which Christians are we going to lead and what are We going to hand over and to who?
This is why the action must start now with positive Steps and fervent Prayers.
The Body of Christ-CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria) that is made up of Five(5) Blocs, BSN-(Bible Society of Nigeria),SUN (Scripture Union of Nigeria), Evangelical Bodies, Other Christian Bodies within and outside Nigeria plus Social and Political Arms must be strengthened religiously, morally and financially to back up our actions to succeed.
If God be for Us,who can be against Us -Romans 8:31.
“For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father”- Romans 8:15.
No denomination should see herself as only the alpha/omega and or independent of the other to do it alone.
CAN’s Motto in John 17:21 says it all – “THAT WE MAY BE ONE”.
Infact and Indeed, We must be One because, God the owner of Religion/Faith is ONE in Three Persons of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
This fake Social Religion of only “bread and butter” festivals and Merriments should stop. While first seeking the the Kingdom of God,All other things will be added unto it. There is an urgent need to look inward and support those that are warning and crying against this partial and insincere government to stop their impartiality against Christian Religion and many other ungodly acts because, Nigeria is a Secular Country. It belongs to all Citizens and Faiths.
We must realise that, it is no longer a sin for Christians to participate in Politics. It is Biblical.
Our old mentality of “gentility”(jelenke) must change if We are to survive the on-coming doom. The other Faiths are not sleeping.
They have machineries in motion before,now and in future which they are using. But, we are yet to wake up from slumber. They capitalise on our in-active attitudes/weakness and “divide and rule system”.
“Kristieni, E ji Iji Ododo kuro ninu Oru Asun ku” (We should wake up from our dead sleep).
Our God is capable but, if only if We could see the “handwriting on the wall” and take appropriate Religious, Social, Economical and Political Steps from today.
