Book Presentation: Top Echelons Storm Ogbodo-Isiokpo November 6, 2021
Come November 6, 2021, all roads will lead to Ogbodo-Isiokpo, headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State for the public presentation of the book ‘The Coming of Christianity to Ogbodo: The Anglican Church Experience’.
A statement by the Secretary of the History and Documentation Committee of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Ogbodo District, Chief (Dr.) Goodluck Nwobike Ph.D., said the event which would has been slated for 12 noon at State School, Ogbodo-Isiokpo, would be graced by top echelons of society.
The statement stated that already invitations have been extended to the respective personalities and functionaries for the historic occasion, adding that the committee had also received favorable responses from the invitees indicating their willingness to attend.
According to the statement, the Chairman of Ikwerre Council of Traditional Rulers and Wogidi XL, Nyenwe-Ai Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom, HRM, King Blessing A.N. Wagor JP shall be the Father of the Day just as the Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, HRH, Professor Onyemachi Maxwel Ogbulu would also serve as Royal Father of the Day.
Similarly, a horde of personalities, including the Publisher of National Network newspaper, Pastor Jerry Needam, has been penciled as Guests of Honour with the Commissioner for Works in Rivers State, Hon. Elloka Tasie-Amadi Esq. as Special Guest of Honour.
While a former Commissioner for Finance in the State, Dr. Chamberlain Peterside would serve as Chairman of the Day, a Resident Engineer, African Desk, Desmetballestra, H.V. Brussels, Belgium, Engineer Princewill I. Echeonwu would be the Chief Presenter.
Also disclosed in the statement was that an Associate Professor with the Department of Economics at the Rivers State University (RSU), James Onyema, would perform the Review of the Book.
