Mgbundukwu Monarch Hails PHALGA Mayor On 100 Days Achievements

The Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Mgbundukwu Community in Mile II, Diobu Port Harcourt, HRH Eze Tobin Owabie has commended the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Hon Allwell Ihunda (JP) over his achievements in 100 days in office, describing them as monumental.

Eze Owabie stated this in a chat with newsmen during a public function to celebrate the event. He expressed delight that all the policies and programmes of the council boss have impacted positively on the citizens unlike his predecessor in office, adding that this is part of the reasons people embrace rotation of position of authority as nobody has the monopoly of wisdom and intellectualism.

He also commended the Ward 15 Councillor in Phalga, M/s Queeneth Peters for her contributions and complementary roles in the Mayor’s achievements and reaffirmed the support of his people to the Ihunda and Wike administration.

On the continuous decampment of notable politicians in the state from the APC political party camp to the PDP, the Royal father said it is expected because according to him, with political juggernauts like governor Wike as the driving force behind the PDP, the party is obviously the hope to rescue the country.

He used the opportunity to advise the Mayor and his team to always consult widely with their constituents as to be acquainted with their priority needs for immediate attention.

On the country’s 61st Independence Anniversary celebration, Eze Owabie said he belongs to the camp of those who see nothing to celebrate because according to him those in authority have refused to dream up new vision for the country.

“It’s only if visionary leaders are in charge of affairs, dream dreams and visualize where to take the country to for a given period and start pursuing such dreams that one would think of having hope for the country’s survival.”

The monarch made it clear that the 2014 Confab report that was jointly prepared should be dusted and look into for solution if the Stakeholders are sincere to restore the country.
