The PHALGA Councillor representing Ward 15 Mgbundukwu Community of Diobu, Hon Ms Queen Mcqueen has felicitated with the chairman of MONI PULO Petroleum Development, Port Harcourt, Dr (Mrs) Seinye O. B. Lulu Briggs, over her meritorious investiture as Fellow of the Institute of Directors (F.I. o D.) recently.
In a ceremony to celebrate the feat, the Councillor said the chairman remains a role model to most of them any day. She promised to partner with the chairman’s Foundation to empower the youths of her constituents very soon.
The Councillor made it clear in a chat with newsmen over the weekend in Port Harcourt at the event that the country is ripe to experiment on a female president with the likes of the celebrant, adding that with the managerial acumen of Dr (Mrs) Lulu Briggs at the presidency, Nigeria would be restored to her deserved position faster than expected. She further disclosed that as the ,2023 general election approaches, the women folks would mobilize and draft Mrs Briggs to join the fray of presidential candidates.
Queen Mcqueen also used the opportunity to commend her boss, the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir (Hon) Allwell Ihunda (JP) on what she described as his monumental A achievements in only 100 days in office, saying that at the fullest of their tenure they will leave worthy legacies to be remembered with.
Also speaking at the event, the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Mgbundukwu Community, Diobu, HRH Eze Tobin Owabie reiterated the support of his people in ensuring that these crop of grassroots politicians succeed in the onerous task of delivering the dividends of democracy.
He used the opportunity to encourage their Councillor Ms McQueen to please remember her campaign promises to them especially the fixing of the big gullie erosion at the end of Akokwa street on Mile 2 Diobu which he noted is life threatening.
The monarch once more congratulated the Lord Mayor for what he said was his visionary leadership that is transforming the area.
He equally used the chance to commend the Phalga Vigilante group for their efforts in protecting lives and property of Diobu residents, adding that on their own part, they are ready to volunteer information that will assist the security outfit do their job.
