Rivers State House of Assembly has committed the 2022 budget to House Committee on Appropriation.
The Honourable Member Representing Obio/Akpor Constituency II in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Okechukwu Chinda, was present as the 2022 budget scaled through second reading.
Recall that on the 3rd of December 2021, Gov. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, presented a budget estimate of Four Hundred and Eighty-three billion, one hundred and seventy-three million, three hundred and seven thousand, ninety-six naira (N483,173, 307,096.00) for 2022 fiscal year to the state House of Assembly for consideration.
After a unanimous debate by lawmakers, the bill was then committed to the house committee on appropriation for further legislative efforts.
The House was adjourned to Tuesday 14th of December 2021.
