Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa, Polytechnic (‘KenPoly’), Bori, Rivers State now has a new Rector.
The new Rector is Engr. Dr. Ledum Suanu Gwarah, an indigene of Gwara Community in Babbe District of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Structural Engineering from Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. He is a COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) certified engineer and also belongs to several professional bodies which include: Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering, Corporate Administrative Institute.
He was until his appointment a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering as well as Acting Rector of ‘KenPoly’.
He is a devout Christian, an academic par excellence and a pragmatic administrator.
He is married and blessed with children.
Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, in a statement signed by its registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr. Emmanuel Onwuka has expressed its appreciation to the State Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for the appointment and as well congratulated Engr. Dr. Ledum Suanu Gwarah on his appointment and wished him success throughout his tenure as Rector.
