Association Of Northern Progressives Applauds Gov Wike Over Assistance, Reconstruction Of Fruit Garden Market
The prompt attention and financial assistance to the victims of the Fruits Garden market fire incident in Port Harcourt by the State governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike has again demonstrated the importance the governor attaches to the welfare of the people living and doing business in the State irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation.
Alh. Ibrahim Maisundu Beli, leader of the Association of Northern Progressives, River State PDP Chapter made the declaration in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
The leader of all the Northerners in PDP resident in Rivers State noted that the resolve of Governor Wike for the immediate reconstruction of the Fruits Garden Market barely two weeks after the unfortunate fire incident has also confirmed he is a true democratic leader whose joy is to see his people live well and happy.
Recalling so many other people-oriented projects and programmes of the Wike administration, Alh. Maisundu Beli said the only way the governor could be appreciated was to queue behind him in 2019 general elections for the good works to be sustained in the State.
The Northern PDP leader in the State urged all the Northerners leaving in Port Harcourt and elsewhere in the State and indeed, all other non-indigenes to rally round Gov Wike and vote for him in 2019, stressing that a vote for Gov Wike is a vote for more progress, more development, greater love and care for traders, market women etc in the State.
Alh. Ibrahim Maisundu also lauded all PDP members and supporters in the State for their show of solidarity and commitment to the cause of the party which according to him, is the morale booster to the governor to consolidate on his monumental achievements within three years in office and still eager to do more.
The Northern leader therefore enjoined all Northerners living and doing business in Rivers State to embark on a sensitization tour among their kith and kin as one large united family to pray, support and queue behind Gov Wike in the next elections as a pay back and guarantee for greater welfare for their people.
