The Paramount Ruler of Mgbundukwu Community in Diobu, Port Harcourt in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Eze Owabie Tobin has congratulated the Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Rebisi Kingdom, HRM Eze (Barr) Uche Isaiah Elikwu for reviving the age long cultural heritage of the people, adding that from all indications, the monarch’s reign would be peaceful and progressive.
Eze Tobin stated this in a chat with newsmen during the week long celebration of the Rebisi Cultural day in Port Harcourt which featured cultural display, dancing and wrestling competition as well as lectures.
He thanked the contestants to the royal stool for their peaceful disposition while the matter lasted in court and pledged the loyalty of his community to the Rebisi Monarch.
Eze Tobin also used the opportunity to support the state governor on his effort to fight the illegal artisan refinery in the state, adding that all the stakeholders should support the fight.
He said the N2million bounty for the location of the kpofire sites is an additional impetus to demonstrate the governor’s willingness to stop the menace in the state.
Eze Tobin also encouraged the governor to do all within his power to join hands and rescue the country from the APC led federal government, pledging the support of his Mgbundukwu Community to achieve the goal.
He however appealed to the governor to give the operators sometime to gradually stop the illegal business, adding that it was because of no employment which pushed them into it.
