…Commends Him For Investing Over N40 Billion In Kalabari land
The Chairman of Rivers State Elders Council, Chief Ferdinand Alabraba has commended the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for the quontum of developments brought to Kalabari land, describing him as the greatest lover of the Kalabari.
Alabraba who made the declaration during his welcome address to the governor at a civic reception in his honour at Abalama, Asari Toru Local Government Area on Saturday, said the Wike administration demonstrated his love for the people with over N40 Billion investment on Kalabariland.
“Your Excellency, our forensic audit of all the developmental projects revealed that your administration has made an investment of over N40 billion in the Kalabari area alone, excluding the many other benefits in kind. This represents the highest investment in the Kalabari area by any administration since the creation of Rivers State. We have never had it so good. This is unprecedented and we are truly grateful”, Alabraba enthused.
He said the governor, during his campaigns in 2015 and 2019, made so many promises to Kalabari people, adding with joy, that Wike has fulfilled all of them.
“You have executed numerous developmental projects that are people-oriented, projects that solve problems, projects that meet the needs of our people in the three LGAs” Alabraba said.
He noted that Governor Wike has systematically fulfilled all the promises including those of development projects and appointment of Kalabari people into his administration.
He listed some of the projects completed or ongoing to include the phase 1 of Trans -Kalabari Road project other administration promised but failed to execute for over 17 years, the rehabilitation and equipping of zonal and general hospitals, secondary schools, Abonnema Ring road, sand-filling in Obonoma, Abonnema, Bakana and Oboama,Abalama communities.
Chief Alabraba reaffirmed the untiring support of the Kalabari people towards governor Wike administration, adding that Kalabari would continue to uphold collaboration as a veritable force that would drive the unity of all and sundry in the state.
