Wike’s Victory Is For Rivers People, Democracy – Ele Monarch

The Traditional Ruler and Amanyanabo of Ele kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII has described Governor Nyesom Wike’s re-election as a victory for the people of Rivers State and democracy.

King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII who made the assertion while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt said the Victory of Governor Wike did not come to him as a surprise because everybody had been praying for him as he is the people’s choice.

The Ele Monarch opined that with the Governor’s projects cut across all nooks and crannies of the State, the people had no choice than to vote him massively in order for him to continue his developmental projects for the people of the State.

He expressed optimism that Governor Wike’s second tenure will experience tremendous project delivery, and enjoined all true sons and daughters of the State no matter their political affliation to join hands and give him massive support to further carry the State to an enviable height, adding that he alone cannot do it without the support of all.

On the suspension of election process by INEC, King Okuru, Apina VII asserted that people should give glory to God in every thing, because he intervened in the tension created by some persons, but God at his own time had made every thing peaceful to his glory.

He also thanked God for the election victory of the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Thompson Sekibo and the House of Assembly member representing Ogu/Bolo Constituency, Rt Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi, whom he said are true sons of the soil and wished them well in their various assignments as law makers,.

The Ele Traditional Ruler disclosed that the people of the area were very excited over the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike, (Mr. Projects), and Talk-na-do-Governor, because they voted massively for him and he has been re-elected to continue his second tenure in office.

King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII, also used the forum to assure the Governor of their total support and unalloyed loyalty to the present Government in the State and appealed to him, to remember Ele Kingdom in this dispensation by recognizing the stool, provide them with portable drinking water, electricity supply, Health Centre, School and internal roads most especially and prayed God to protect and give him the courage to further pilot the affairs of the State to greater heights to the glory of God.
